To quote from Carol's info sheet:
In the Millennium Series, letters, numerals, and symbols from various languages and cultures are layered and fragmented to create abstract images with a weathered archaeological feel.As the above states, one original 28" square work is divided into 4 14" squares, which can be rearranged at will. These three works, however, are themselves quadrants of quadrants... 7" squares made from other 14" squares. I really like the way these works seem to contain pieces of a much larger image.
