MICROPLANET (c. 1998), BY JOSH SIMPSON
ACQUIRED FROM VESPERMANN GALLERY, ATLANTA, GEORGIA, APRIL 1999
MULTI-LAYERED HOTWORKED GLASS AND SILVER REACTIVE GLASS
Although it is similar to the larger planet, this microplanet contains much less detail... mostly, you can just see the land and sea, although each does have some surface detail. The lucite base is necessary to keep this planet from rolling off the shelf. (Ha!)
